Inheritance is the future God promises to His children in Christ: resurrection life, a place in God’s renewed creation, and a share in the blessings that belong to the Son.
An heir receives not by earning but by belonging to the family; and because believers are sons in the Son, they are heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ. The inheritance is reserved in heaven, incorruptible and undefiled, kept for those whom God keeps.
It is not merely a possession but a Person and His world — to inherit is to share what is His, in the creation made new.
