The new heavens and new earth are the renewed creation God will bring when He completes His saving work — the home of His redeemed people, free from sin, death, curse, and separation from God.
Salvation’s end is not escape from the world but the world made new. We look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. The creation now groaning will be delivered from the bondage of corruption; the curse will be gone, death destroyed, and God Himself will dwell with His people. What was lost in Eden is not merely recovered but secured for ever.
