Transformation and renewal are the Spirit’s ongoing work of changing believers into the likeness of Christ, renewing their minds, desires, and lives as His new life takes visible form.
Be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind. The change is real and gradual: beholding the glory of the Lord, believers are changed into the same image from glory to glory. This is not self-improvement but the outworking of Christ’s life within — sanctification is what union with Christ looks like over time.
