Revelation

Revelation is God's act of making Himself and His truth known to His creation.

Because God is infinite and His creatures are finite, He can be known only as He chooses to reveal Himself. He has made Himself known through His creation, His providence, and the human conscience, leaving all people without excuse. He has revealed Himself more fully through His prophets, His inspired Word, and supremely through His Son, Jesus Christ, who is the fullest revelation of the Father. While God continues to work in His world, the faith has been fully revealed in Scripture, which is the complete and sufficient written revelation for the church.

See in Scripture: Psalm 19:1–7; John 1:18; Romans 1:18–20; Hebrews 1:1–2; 2 Timothy 3:16–17
