Peace with God is restored relationship to the Creator through Jesus Christ. Those who are justified and reconciled in Christ are brought near to God and returned to the order for which they were made.
Peace with God is an objective reality. It rests on Christ’s finished work and the believer’s standing in Him, not on a calm feeling or an easy life.
It is therefore distinct from the inward peace God gives His children in daily life. Feelings may change; the believer’s peace with God does not rest on feelings.
