Indwelling is the Holy Spirit living in every believer joined to Christ — His presence assuring the believer he belongs to God, bringing Christ’s life within, and pledging the inheritance still to come.
If any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His; but the Spirit of God dwells in all who belong to Christ. This indwelling is not a reward for advanced believers but the common possession of the saved, the very means by which Christ’s life is theirs. This page is sufficient for the present cluster; the fuller doctrine of the Spirit belongs to a later study.
