Creation is God's act of bringing all things into existence by His word, and the ordered universe that resulted from that act.
In Scripture, creation refers both to God's creative work and to everything He has made. God created the heavens and the earth according to His wisdom and for His glory, declaring His work to be “very good.” The created order belongs to Him as its Maker and rightful King, and humanity was placed within it as His image-bearers to exercise delegated authority through faithful stewardship. Though creation has been subjected to the curse because of sin, it has not been abandoned. It now groans in expectation of the day when Christ will remove the curse and make all things new.
